FIVE DISTINCT QUADS
From the rich history of the Fairlie-Poplar district to our burgeoning, modern research complex on Decatur Street, Georgia State is rapidly growing and continuously changing the landscape of downtown Atlanta. Our newly established quads on the Atlanta Campus, defined by the Blue Line, foster community and connection, shaping distinct places and creating a vibrant campus identity.
CENTRAL ACADEMIC QUAD
Our home to the campus greenway, which provides connections to both wings of the University Library, Langdale Hall and the Arts & Humanities building. Here, you’ll also find Student Center East, located just steps from recently renovated Hurt Park.
FAIRLIE-POPLAR QUADS
This quad encompasses the Fairlie-Poplar Historic District, is where you’ll find Broad Street’s restaurants, the Rialto Center for the Arts — downtown’s premier performance venue — and the Aderhold Learning Center.
NORTH ACADEMIC QUAD
Stretching from the College of Education & Human Development building to the College of Law building, contains our major academic centers along the Woodruff Park corridor.
PIEDMONT RESIDENTIAL QUAD
This is the heart of student life, bounded by the Blue Line paths along Courtland and Edgewood avenues and includes our residential halls along Piedmont Avenue.
SCIENCE-SPORTS QUAD
The quad includes the university’s growing research complex, Sports Arena, Beach Volleyball Complex and Student Recreation Center, making it a hub for discovery, innovation and play.
